After the death of Joseph, things changed in Egypt.
the new pharaoh came to power and who did not know how Joseph had helped Egypt during the famine. The Paroah became afraid that they would outnumbered the Egyptians and be much more powerful. Pharaoh turned them into slaves. Finally, he gave orders that any baby boy born to an Israelaite family was to be killed.
At this time, an Israelite woman had a baby boy. After three months the boy began to make a lot of noise.
So, the woman made a basket, then she placed her baby in it and with great care, hid it in the tall grasses at the edge of the river.
Pharaoh's daughter came to the river to bathe. She saw the basket and, as she opened it, the baby began to cry. She realized that this was an Israelite boy and felt sorry for him.
One day, Moses saw the Egyptian master kill an israelite worker
He leapt at the Egyptian and killed him. Moses Knew that Pharaoh would hear of what he had done and fled to the safety of the desert.
Moses went to live in a land called Midian, Where he stayed for a long time, Working as a shepherd.
One day as he was watching over the flock. He noticed a bush was on fire. As He got nearer, A voice said, I am the the God of Abraham. I have seen how the people of ISrael is sufering. You are to go and free my people.
"Please choose someone else." Moses pleaded. "No one will listen to me."
"You have been chosen," replied God.
return to Egypt, Find your brother Aaron, and go with him to set my people free.
